I like Disney films Dear Elle,                                                                                                     17th Oct 2002

I have been at university for two weeks now and I am very unhappy. I haven’t made any friends, and the Chemistry course is really hard, and quite boring. I really miss the man I met on my gap year in Thailand. He was so kind to me and taught me a lot about love. Should I run away to live with him?

Yours,

Michael Hunt

Dear Michael,

I have only been to university once, to visit my sister. When I was there I spent a lot of my time running up and down a corridor. But during the short time I was there I was very happy. I drank some delicious orange juice in a big room full of people, and threw my lunch on the floor, which I thought was very funny.

I do not know much about chemistry, but if it is anything like Disney’s The Sword in the Stone then it must be very exciting indeed. I like that bit where Merlin sings about being a fish. I think if you sing a song about Chemistry you will enjoy it more.

I have not been to Thailand, but I have been to France. I met a friendly man there called Theory who taught me lots of French words, and brought me lots of spaghetti. I would not want to run away and live with him though, because I would miss my cat Trouble. Trouble is a big cat and sometimes I give him a big kiss. Maybe you should kiss a big cat and you would not want to run away.

Sometimes I go to the park and play on the swings and that is fun too. Thank you for your letter. My birthday is in February and you can come to my party.

Love Elle xxx
